So I noticed a small dark patch under my car yesterday and now there’s a faint burning smell when I stop at traffic lights, which has me properly worried. I’m in Musaffah and I need this looked at quickly because I can’t afford to be without the car for days. A colleague mentioned there’s fast BMW oil leak repair in Musaffah that doesn’t…

I’m close to buying a used GMC Terrain and I’ve decided I want it inspected first, but I’m the type who likes to know exactly what I’m paying for before I commit. A few people here have mentioned that prepurchase inspection service for GMC models and I had a quick look at their GMC section, but now I’m curious about the details behind…

My A4 has developed a clunking noise from the front end that only shows up over rough surfaces, and it’s been getting louder over the past month. It’s not affecting the handling dramatically but I can feel it through the floor and it’s annoying enough that I want it sorted. The dealer wants to replace a whole list of components, which feels…

We’re finally doing our kitchen and I’ve had three contractors out so far, and the quotes are so different in structure that I can’t actually compare them. One gives a single lump sum, another itemises everything, and the third is somewhere in between with a bunch of “allowances” I don’t understand. I’ve been looking at …

I’ve been servicing my Cherokee regularly but I’ve never been clear on when it needs a major service versus a minor one, and I suspect I’ve been paying for the bigger job more often than necessary. I came across https://jeepservicemussafah.ae/major-and-minor-services/ while trying to understand the difference, but I’d rather hear from owners…

I’m putting my car up for sale in a few weeks and I keep going back and forth on whether to spend money on a proper detail first. Part of me thinks a clean, shiny car sells faster and justifies a slightly higher asking price, the other part thinks buyers see through it and it’s money I won’t get back. The car isn’t in bad shape, just a bit…

Got a paint quote that was double the other one, is the expensive one just better or just pricier?

I’ve had two quotes for the same job, a rear quarter panel respray on my car, and the difference between them is genuinely shocking. The cheaper place said they’d blend it into the door and the boot, the pricier one said the same thing but with…

A few days ago my power windows stopped working on all four doors and the central locking stopped responding to the remote at the exact same time. That seems too coincidental to be separate faults, so I’m thinking it’s something in the wiring or a fuse or a body control module issue rather than four broken window motors. The car still drives…

I found a car I like on a classifieds site, decent price, seems well maintained from the photos, but when I asked if I could get it inspected before buying the seller got weird about it, saying he doesn’t have time and the car is “perfect anyway”. That reaction alone makes me suspicious. I’ve always believed you don’t buy used without a…

We’ve got open top bins in our kitchen area and honestly in summer they’re rough, the smell builds up fast and flies find them immediately no matter how often we empty them. I’ve been pushing to switch to lidded ones but the office manager thinks it’s unnecessary and just adds hassle since people won’t bother lifting the lid. I disagree, I think…

I’ve been going back and forth on this for a while now. On one hand a portable jump pack in the boot costs a fraction of what a roadside subscription does and I can use it myself without waiting for anyone. On the other hand if the battery is genuinely dead and not just drained, a jump pack only gets me to the next car park before it dies…

Noticed last week that the tint on my driver’s side window is starting to lift at the bottom corner, just a small peel but I know from experience it only gets worse. It’s been about eight months since I had it done and I honestly expected it to last longer than that before any issues. The shop that installed it is saying it’s because of the…
