  • What does a proper GMC inspection actually include before I book?

I’m close to buying a used GMC Terrain and I’ve decided I want it inspected first, but I’m the type who likes to know exactly what I’m paying for before I commit. A few people here have mentioned that prepurchase inspection service for GMC models and I had a quick look at their GMC section, but now I’m curious about the details behind the checklist. Like do they check the transmission properly or just scan for codes, and how do they handle things like accident history or frame damage that might not show up on a normal diagnostic? I wanted to read more about the actual process before I call anyone, mostly because I don’t want to waste a seller’s time or my own money on something too basic. Has anyone here had a GMC inspected recently and can tell me what the report actually covered? I’m not looking for a sales pitch, just a realistic idea of what to expect so I can compare a couple of options properly.
