Major vs minor service, how do I know which one my Jeep actually needs?
I’ve been servicing my Cherokee regularly but I’ve never been clear on when it needs a major service versus a minor one, and I suspect I’ve been paying for the bigger job more often than necessary. How do you actually decide which one to book? Is it purely mileage based, or does it depend on what was done last time? And does skipping a major service when it’s due actually cause problems, or is it one of those things garages push to bump up the bill? I’d rather service properly without overpaying for work the car doesn’t need yet.
