  • Portable jump starter or roadside service, which one actually makes sense here?

I’ve been going back and forth on this for a while now. On one hand a portable jump pack in the boot costs a fraction of what a roadside subscription does and I can use it myself without waiting for anyone. On the other hand if the battery is genuinely dead and not just drained, a jump pack only gets me to the next car park before it dies again, and I’d rather have someone who can actually diagnose it on the spot. I came across https://batteryzoneuae.com/car-jumpstart/ while looking into this and it seems like the service side covers more than just giving you a boost, which is the part that appeals to me. Curious what most people here actually do. Do you carry a jump pack as a first line of defence and call someone only if that fails, or do you skip the DIY route entirely? Trying to work out which is the smarter long term setup for someone who parks outside and does short trips most days.
